The 2026 Ocean Film Festival World Tour will screen new ocean-themed films in multiple locations across the UK from September to November.

From September to November this year, the Ocean Film Festival World Tour will bring a series of captivating new ocean-themed films to cinemas across the UK. This year's programme brings together a number of visually striking short films, showcasing the ocean from every angle — above the surface, beneath the waves, and through stories of the human connection to the sea.

Nell Teasdale, UK Tour Director, said: "Now in its 13th year, the Ocean Film Festival World Tour remains committed to celebrating the beauty, power and fragility of the ocean. Every film in the 2026 programme is unique, whether it is an extraordinary adventure, astonishing marine life, or people who have devoted their lives to ocean protection. We cannot wait to bring this year's line-up to audiences across the UK."

One of the highlights of this year's line-up is "The Raftsmen", an epic story of courage and endurance. Twelve non-professional adventurers from 7 countries came together to attempt a feat few would dare to imagine — crossing the Pacific Ocean on three hand-built rafts, guided only by the sun and the stars. Over a journey lasting six months, they battled storms, hunger and the psychological strain of life at sea. The voyage remains the longest raft expedition on record. Fifty years later, the original 16 mm film has been restored to 4K, allowing today's audiences to witness the scale of this once-in-a-lifetime ocean adventure.
